Mary Beth Wims is an Iowa native who has been practicing at Core since 2017. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Des Moines University after returning to school as a non-traditional student. Prior to discovering her passion for physical therapy, she taught English in South Korea and worked in oncology clinical trial management.
Mary Beth has completed coursework in myofascial release and visceral mobilization, craniosacral therapy at Michigan State University, and pelvic floor rehabilitation through Herman and Wallace.
She studied somatic yoga with Yoga North in Duluth and is a 200-hour registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. Mary Beth is a firm believer that movement is medicine. She enjoys helping patients discover empowering tools and strategies to take care of their health. Additionally, her personal experience with pregnancy, labor, and the emergency cesarean that followed left her with a desire to work with others who are also processing and healing from their own difficult birth stories.
Mary Beth and her family make their home in Beaverdale. Outside of work, Mary Beth likes to keep moving, whether on her bike, feet, or yoga mat.
